Explore the artists, movements, ideas, theories and art-making practices that lead up to art of the past 70 years through works on view in the galleries and through slides and videos. Native Artistic Masters of the Northwest Coast: Bill Reid and Susan Point
Come join us for this inspirational afternoon with the Art of Native Haida Tribe artist, Bill Reid and his younger contemporary Coast Salish artist, Susan Point. Over the past several decades, both of these masters have been brilliantly redefining the essence of Northwest Coast form, color, style, pattern and mystery. Moreover, both have magically pulled these time-honored artistic traditions into new unique forms of modernism. Class meets in the Fine Arts Center lobby.
