Travel

The Art and Architecture of Washington D.C.
Join the Fine Arts Center on a Spring (March/April) trip to the nation’s capitol to explore works of art and architecture! Explore the National Gallery of Art and its East Annex, along with the Corcoran & Hirschorn Galleries of Art. Among the architectural highlights will be the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials, the Library of Congress, and the National Cathedral. We plan on four full days in Washington, with two days for travel from Colorado Springs to D.C. This trip will include an orientation lecture at the Fine Arts Center before we embark, so that all participants can be more informed about the significance and context of what will be toured ... especially from an artistic and architectural perspective.
