Curator Lecture Series: Presented by Blake Milteer, FAC Curator of 19th to 21st Century American Art. FAC Members $112; Non-members $119. Advance registration required. Teacher In-service Training: Thursday, Feb. 7 • 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. This session includes a visit to the Impressionist and Modern Masters exhibition at the newly renovated Fine Arts Center, a review and discussion of the exhibition, and classroom field trip information. Instruction and classroom lesson plans will be provided by a Colorado State Licensed professional teacher certified in Art K-12. FAC Members $58; Non-members $65. Advance registration required. Teacher Training in-service workshops are available to public, private, homeschool and studio teachers. In-service training will provide teachers an opportunity to test lesson plans in the Bemis School of Art studios. Lesson plans will be provided and incorporate Colorado State Standards and National Visual Arts Standards for Fine Art Education. Learn more... Folding Chair Lecture: Learn about art and history through the study of beautiful paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries, works by Impressionists and Post-Impressionists Claude Monet and Paul Gauguin from the late 19th century, and modern representations from the mid-20th century represented by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollock and Joan Miró. This lecture is part of our "Folding Chair Lecture Series," which is designed to complement the Fine Arts Center’s Permanent Collection and Special Exhibitions.
