Curator’s Tour

Tuesday, Nov. 17, 6 p.m. | El Pomar Gallery

Theodore Waddell, Argenta Horses, 2009, oil, encaustic on canvasDon’t miss a special Curator’s tour of Personal Paradise: Contemporary Perspectives on Landscape Painting. Landscape painting is not what it used to be; it is no longer just a realistic view of the nature the artist views. See how contemporary artists have redefined the “traditional” genre of landscape painting.

This exhibit brings together four acclaimed artists from throughout the Americas who create beautiful landscape works providing a compelling view of varied contemporary approaches to painting nature. This interesting juxtaposition of works is shaped by the unique personal experiences, different cultural backgrounds, and stylistic tendencies of the artists, resulting in a thought-provoking and visually engaging exhibition.
